All-Stars Game Donation

The coaches committee for the All-Stars Game selected The Settlement Home as the recipient of their big game on April 28.

On May 4, a group of Central Texas high school basketball coaches involved in the All-Stars Game presented a check to The Home for $1,400. Staff, kids and Settlement Club members volunteered at the game by selling tickets, handing out programs and working in the concessions stand.

The 2012 All-Star Game, which combines the best high school seniors in the area on two teams for an exciting match up, was April 28 at Connally High School. The Central Texas coaches who organized the game came up with a way to help others by donating proceeds from the ticket sales to The Settlement Home.

The coaches committee included: John Morgan, Crockett High School Head Coach; Tres Ellis, Westlake High School Head Coach; Marshall Sanders, Pflugerville Connally High School Head Coach; Blake Brown, Cedar Park High School Head Coach; Cellester Collier, Bowie High School Head Coach; Gant Carraway, Hutto High School Head Coach; Curtis Knight, retired coach.

The donation will help pay for summer programs our kids.
