The holiday season has been a bright and special one for us so far! We are so appreciative of the many great donations we received for Thanksgiving. As we move into the Christmas season, we get many inquiries about how best to help our program and our children.
Here are a few ways you can support The Settlement Home:
– Donate holiday gifts – Contact us and we can give you suggestions for items that would be appropriate for our children. (836-2150 or info@settlementhome.org.)

– Donate items for later in the year – We are always looking for items for our birthday closet.
Items needed: MP3 players, headphones or speakers; art supplies for older teenagers in high school art classes; gift cards; makeup.
– Make a donation in honor or memory of someone – Remember a friend or honor someone you love by making a heartfelt donation to The Settlement Home. For every donation made, we will send the recipient a holiday card notifying them of your generous gift.
– Give as you Get – When you shop online, you can help your favorite non-profit at no extra cost to you. Simply go to Give as you Get and select your charity. Then start online shopping. A portion of your sales will go to your designated charity. Be sure to look for The Settlement Home!
For children in the state foster care system, it can be difficult to be away from their family during the holidays. We appreciate your warm thoughts, donations and generosity this time of year! We wish you a holiday season filled with love, peace and happiness.
