Linda Kokemor Retires

After 32 years, The Settlement Home’s Executive Director, Linda Kokemor, is retiring. Linda has made a tremendous impact on The Home and the children who have lived here. She will be missed by the staff, Settlement Club members and children. Linda’s last day as director is September 27.

This summer, the Linda Addicks Kokemor playground was built and dedicated to her service. The playground is a permanent reminder of the work she has done to improve the lives of children. She has inspired many children and staff members. She has worked tirelessly to provide abused and neglected children with the best future.

The new Executive Director, Darcie DeShazo, has a 13 year history with The Settlement Home. Darcie currently serves as The Home’s Associate Director. She has also worked as the Group Home Director, Cottage Therapist/Supervisor and Houseparent.
