It’s back to school time for the children at The Settlement Home! The back to school transition ran smoothly thanks to the help of the Austin community. Members of the National Charity League donated spirals, notebooks, backpacks and other back to school necessitates. The Northwest Sertoma Club of Austin made a special shopping trip to Office Depot to purchase school supplies for our children. Clothing, accessories and shoes were also donated. Back to school donations are still being collected. Items that are donated that cannot be used by our children will be sold at our Charity Garage Sale in November. Items on our wish list include: beauty and hygiene products, alarm clocks, flashlights, nightlights, games, MP3 players, batteries, art supplies, sticker kits and stuffed animals.
