Open House

The new Williamson Family Campus officially opened it’s doors on September 18. More than 300 people turned out for the dedication and Open House of the new campus, which will house the current Foster Family and Adoption Programs along with the new Independent Living Program.

The Independent Living Program includes twelve efficiency apartments where young ladies will live as they learn the skills needed to become successful, self-sustaining adults.  The program teaches a variety of skills, such as money management, cooking and enrolling in college classes.  Residents must work 30 hours a week or be enrolled in college or trade school.

The new buildings also features a large training room which will be used for continuing education courses, orientations and other events.  A play therapy room will be utilized by staff and a new playground will be built in the green space between the two buildings.

The idea for the Williamson Family Campus was conceived and generously funded by a special anonymous donor.  This new facility will touch the lives of many and provide healing, hope and love.
