If getting organized is on your New Year’s resolutions list, then this event is for you! Get motivated to clean your closets, clear out the garage and slim down your shelves. The National Association of Professional Organizers – Austin Chapter – is holding its 8th Annual Clear Your Clutter Day (CYCD) on Saturday, January 25. That means, you get organized and bring those items you no longer love, fit into or need to donate, trash or recycle.
The Settlement Home will be at CYCD collecting new or gently used items for our 2014 Charity Garage Sale. We are looking for items that can be resold, such as clothing, shoes, art, rugs, sporting goods, furniture, holiday decorations, jewelry, books, DVDs, purses, small kitchen appliances and much more. In addition to us, there will be several other non-profits looking for specific items.
There will also be recycling and trash services on-site for those items that are broken, damaged or not accepted by the non-profits.
So mark your calendar and tell your friends.
