Mothers play a huge role in our lives. They nurture us, love us and help shape us into the people were will become.

The children at The Settlement Home are here because of abuse or neglect.  They have not had the dependable, solid parents that others may have had to raise them. That means there’s a big role to fill in their lives and it is one that is ready for the right person or family. 

In honor of your mother or a special woman who influenced you, consider making a difference in the life of an abused or neglected child.

– Make a donation. Your donation in honor of someone you love will touch the lives of children in many ways: providing for their therapeutic care, medical needs, education, activities and many more important things that children need to grow into healthy adults.

– Foster or Adopt.  The greatest gift you can give a child in need is a loving and supportive home. Foster and Adoptive parents come in all shapes and sizes, but the one thing they have in common is their ability to love a child.

– Volunteer. Give a little time and make a tremendous impact on the life of a child. Everyone can contribute something as a volunteer.
