No Time to Wait…Donate!

If you’re like me, recent weekends have been filled with cleaning and sorting. It might just be the beautiful March weather that has us inspired to get organized.

If you are feeling the spring cleaning itch, but don’t know what to do with those items you once loved or needed, consider donating it to The Settlement Home for Children. We accept new and gently used items that can be resold at our Charity Garage Sale. Just think of the new life that lamp or picture frame could have in a new home.

We accept clothing, shoes, books, toys, sporting goods, books, DVDs, TVs and computers, art, rugs, holiday decorations and much more. (We do not accept broken, stained or damaged items, mattresses, futons, particle board furniture, hazardous materials, encyclopedias or text books.)

Our hard working Club members and volunteers work tirelessly all year preparing for the big sale. And by big, I do mean BIG! We are known for our tremendous inventory of items and well organized sale. Last year, we raised $625,000. All proceeds from the sale go to programs and services at The Settlement Home for Children.

The 38th Annual Charity Garage Sale is November 1-3 at Palmer Events Center.

The community is invited to drop off their donations at our warehouse at 1600 Payton Gin Road on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations can also be picked up from your home by contacting our Pick-Up Hot line at 448-5302.
