We are so excited to hold our SpringFest event this Sunday. Not only do we have a great time, but we have a chance to influence the lives of teenagers in our community.

SpringFest recognizes members of our Community Youth Council (CYC). As a part of the CYC, these high school students pledge to volunteer their time to help at The Settlement Home. These kids typically help with our Charity Garage Sale, our biggest fundraiser of the year, but they can also help with other needs.

This experience is also shaping the lives of these young adults. We hope to instill in them the value of volunteering and philanthropy. Each year, we award a Community Leadership Award to someone in the community who is making a difference. This year, retired professional tennis player Andy Roddick is our award recipient.
