Our Charity Garage Sale isn’t until November, but the anticipation and preparation are already going strong!  Since January, we have had some amazing volunteers, The Settlement Club, working, sorting, pricing and more for our big event.  They come out to the warehouse every Monday, rain or shine, and work with precision and tireless enthusiasm.  I am inspired every time I see them.

Recently, someone asked me about our Garage Sale.  What do you sell?  Is it all junk?  Would there be anything for me there?  Of course, a huge smile appeared on my face.  She had no idea what she’d been missing.  The Settlement Home Charity Garage Sale is the most fun, most well organized, coolest event I have ever been to.  And here’s why:

– What do we sell?  Short answer: EVERYTHING! Long answer: Shoes, boots, new and vintage clothing, hats, scarves, purses, jewelry, linens, silver, china, blankets, holiday items, children’s toys, games, sporting goods, books, artwork, rugs, furniture, electronics, gardening items, kitchen items…the list goes on!  There are 20 departments with tons of great things.
– Is it junk? HARDLY!  We don’t sell things that you wouldn’t want to have.  All the items are clean and valuable.
– Would there be anything for me there?  YES!  There is something for everyone – men, women, girls, boys and even pets!

November 3-6.  It’s already marked on my calendar, now I just have to count down the days.
