Volunteer Turns 90

You’re never too old to volunteer, just ask Dan Henshaw. Dan turned 90 last week and spent his birthday volunteering in the warehouse preparing for our Annual Charity Garage Sale.

Dan has been a regular volunteer at The Settlement Home for 25 years. On Mondays, you can find him working away in the tool department with a big smile on his face. Dan also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Kairos, a prison ministry group.

Non-profits, like The Settlement Home, rely on the energy and dedication of volunteers like Dan. He not only gives back, but Dan is also helping inspire and train the next generation of volunteers.

Giving back keeps Dan feeling young and motivates him to keep going every day. Read more about what Dan does for The Settlement Home and other area non-profits here.
