Ethics Training for Social Workers

The Settlement Home is holding an Ethics Training for social workers. Join us for a lively and educational training. Details below:

This training will be held at The Settlement Home’s Williamson Family Conference Center, located at 1607 Colony Creek Drive, 78758 (the back portion of The Settlement Home campus.)

Course Description:
This ethics course is interactive and will include discussions based on real-life ethical dilemmas occurring in a variety of service settings. Meet professionals from other agencies and be a part of a dynamic conversation about the ins and outs of maintaining an ethical practice. Light snacks will be provided.





About the Trainer:
Brandi Winters, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), has focused her career on working with children. She is extremely passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma. Brandi received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. She has worked with The Settlement Home for Children in Austin, TX, for 7+ years and is currently the Residential Treatment Center Director. Brandi has also worked at Meridell Achievement Center, The School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin, the Corpus Christi State School, and 2 psychiatric hospitals. She is certified in EMDR and is an educator for the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) model of building connection with children. Her husband has been a Special Education Teacher for 15 years, and they have two daughters. She likes to kayak, read books, scuba dive, and is a huge Texas Stars Hockey fan.
