The Foster & Adoption Program held its annual December training on December 9.
Highlights from this year’s training included a demonstration from Spirit Reins. The mission of Spirit Reins is to improve the emotional and behavioral health of children through interacting with horses. Spirit Reins offers a variety of innovative professional counseling services, but specializes in Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy(TF-EAP) in serving children who have experienced abuse, neglect or other traumatic events.
Trish Lay with Souls at Play lead the group through fun activities, like the Encouragement Train exercise.
Thank you to Northwest Sertoma for face painting, puppets, help with setup and decorating. They also provided generous gifts to the families. Many thanks to our great Club members, Michele and KaLyn, who helped with setup, food and serving.
