Special Night at Russell Korman’s

Our girls and foster & adoptive families had a blast at Russell Korman Jewelry on Thursday night. The party was in celebration of the completion of the Russell Korman community service project.

The Russell Korman community service project is a great program for our girls and kids in the Foster & Adoption Program. Each child is required to volunteer their time helping others. They work at the animal shelter, food bank and other non-profits to earn these hours. After their volunteer hours are completed, the kids write a report on their community service experience and the impact of helping others. By completing these tasks, they earn a shopping certificate to Russell Korman Jewelry, where they can shop for Christmas gifts for family and friends. Russell Korman employees help the kids pick out the right gift and provide pizza for the hungry shoppers.

Russell, Hank, Monica and the great team at Russell Korman Jewelry have gone above and beyond to provide for the community and also support those in need. They have been supporting The Settlement Home in a variety of ways for many years, including providing opportunities for our girls to eat out at restaurants, experience a ride on a steam train and earn a shopping certificate through a community service project. They has also hosted an autograph signing with former Longhorn football player Jordan Shipley in their store to raise funds for The Settlement Home.

Thank you to the team at Russell Korman Jewelry for not only supporting The Settlement Home, but for support all of Austin. You are a great example of the philanthropic spirit of Austin. We appreciate all you do for our children!
