January is a fresh start to the New Year. We are excited about ramping up our efforts for the 2013 Charity Garage Sale. Can you believe we’re already deep into planning and preparing for it?! So start collecting those things you no longer love, the kids outgrew or just don’t fit into your closet anymore and get ready to donate it to us. It’s a great way to get organized and help us continue to provide services for children in need.
Donating to The Settlement Home is easy!
- You can drop your donations off at our warehouse starting Monday, January 14. Our warehouse will be open on Mondays after that date. The best time to drop by on Mondays is between 9:00 a.m. and noon. If you can’t make it at that time, we will accept donations during the week, but ask that you call before you visit us at 512-836-2150. (Address: 1600 Payton Gin Road, Austin, 78758)
- We also do pickups from your home. To arrange for a pickup, contact our voicemail hotline at 448-5302. One of our friendly Pickup Angels will respond to your call in a timely manner.
- Visit us at Clear Your Clutter Day (CYCD) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 at Bethany United Methodist Church on Anderson Mill Road. Hosted by the National Association of Professional Organizers – Austin Chapter – CYCD is a great way to fill the car, swing by and donate your items to several non-profits, trash items not worth keeping or recycle other items.
