Volunteer Month: Recreation Volunteers

We know how much children and young adults benefit from extracurricular activities that challenge them and teach them new things, all while having fun. It is important that our residents have a variety of recreation opportunities throughout the year to keep them active, engaged and busy. Recreation volunteers support these measures by encouraging and motivating our residents to participate in fun and healthy activities. “Recreation volunteers facilitate workshops and activities that our residents might otherwise not have experienced. They enrich our resident’s lives through play, exercise and crafts every day,” says The Home’s Recreation Coordinator, Selena Coburn.
